How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

How to Prepare?
The area is required to be shaved for all laser hair removal treatments the night before or the morning of your treatment. Waxing or tweezing have to be avoided at least 3 weeks before your appointment. To be eligible for treatment, sun exposure and self tanners are prohibited several weeks before the procedure. For better results it is important that your skin is not tanned at all. Discontinue use of retinoids and antibiotics 14 days prior to your appointment. This treatment cannot be performed on pregnant or breast-feeding patients
How many laser hair removal treatments do I need?
It varies, although most men and women need a series of six to ten treatments, each spaced about four to eight weeks apart, for optimal results.By the six treatment of laser hair removal, 70% of hair will be gone. Although laser hair removal is permanent, in some cases, it's possible to have new hair growth. This is most common during periods of hormonal changes, particularly around pregnancy. If you experience new hair grow in the treated area again, you can always come back to Alita Laser Spa for touch-up treatments as needed.
